Wing Sail for Hull #1
This is an artists rendition (a screen-capture from OpenSCAD) of the wing sail considered for Hull #1. The lower red plate represents the deck and the vertical rod is the mast. The sail is made from a series of 3d-printed NACA shapes which can be seen in yellow. The leading edge is a carbon fibre tube and the trailing edge is thin ply, sanded to give a blade edge. The overall wing would be covered in monocoque or fibreglass. Adjusting the sail is achieved by adjusting a trim tab at the back (not shown).
